Add 18.8mm for 2pm to 3pm slot, sitting at ~74mm
Keen to see dams uplift over next few days :)

Almost as much rain is predicted for Sun 17th. This week may be one of the best inflows this season (unless we have a really wet winter).

Im sitting in the Waterfront and its bucketing down but all of that rain is wasted because it goes straight into the sea. We get literally nothing from that rain.

Exactly. So disappointed with the aim of the clouds. They are raining in completely the wrong place.

Yes, quite, but if only it would be more focused on the catchment areas. Yes. Mmmm. Never be totally happy with the rain.

When a cold front...any cold front, hits the Western Cape directly, like this one...it rains in the catchment areas.

That's why it's called catchment areas.

The Theewaterskloof-dam catchment area is 500 square km's, and is served by streams emanating in the the Hottentots Holland mountain range.

Hard area to miss by a cold front...

Yes, but think about it, all the rain that falls "outside" the catchment areas of the dams - is wasted. These pesky clouds should not be so over excited and keep their rain for the optimal catchment areas.

I think you are forgetting about ground level water levels (i.e well points and boreholes), farm dams, and even, perhaps, aqueducts.

But let us all chide these pesky clouds.
