Hi,

not sure if you have already tried it, there is a band tool for Huawei routers.
Try to force the router to band 38 or 41 if available. These two bands offer better download speed.
Also check the signal stats you are getting.

Rain only works on bands 3 and 38, most towers are band 3 only. Nice monitoring tool, there are a few around including for Android.

I have been complaining to rain for months on end. First week I got my sim I had speeds of up to 8mbps was the R250 package then my speeds starting dropping, after my first complaint some idiot replied and told me to get the R480 package as its faster, i havent for more than 10kbps since after that first week on either packages. So heres what ive done thus far, i used phone as modem, i installed a signal booster app that always gives me full signal, and used the 1.1.1.1 dns app on my phone and did the same on pc... Still nothing.... I did a manual network selection, they then told me to get a router which i did but still no luck. I was then told to put my router near the window, still no luck... I then tested the stupid network as follows used the rain sim with the router in best spot and got less than 1mbps, used vodacom sim in same router and same spot and got 23mbps.... Umm im confused.... For the record im a data consultant so understand how to troubleshoot bt became so deaperate i still followed their stupid advice and im yet to receive a reply on any of my other emails as im now persuing legal action for false advertising... They refuae to cancel my service any advice?
