Red light

Just got my rain 5g and sim is active but when I connected the router it shows red light on network and when I went on the rain site it says device is offline please help someone
 
If you have not done so already log into My Rain. Go to "manage" and look at the sattelite map. It will show you where the towers around you are. Move the router to or near a window facing the nearest tower.

I am having the exact same issue, received it on Wednesday and still stuck on red light. I have made contact with Rian 3 times now still no clarity, how long did it take to resolve your's.

Good day, i also received my router 3 days ago, i have been on the phone with rain a few times now, still on red, have moved the router to everywhere in my flat, still nothing, pls can you help?
 
I've been having the same issue for the past 8 days. I've had the router plugged into every socket near every possible window in my house. Nothing.

Call centre agents have been largely unhelpful, and my support tickets that have been logged go ignored. I've been trying to get this sorted out since the 3rd of January.

Honestly, this is outrageous.

Sounds like your usual tower is offline and others are too far. If this is the case, don't get your hopes up. The tower I connected to for months (and the only reason why I ordered Rain 5G in the first place) have now been offline since the 10th of December. I will have to cancel the 5G this month if it's not fixed by then else it's another R529 down the toilet.
 
Mine is showing it for almost a full day..
It keeps showing the red light and orange light..
