RAIN Huawei 5G CPE Pro settings

For the life of me, I'm battling with the port forwarding on the HUAWEI 5G Outdoor CPE - Model: N5368X
It just does not want to work for me Here are my settings.
I'm using port 3000 to 3000 for my VPN, and was using port 80 external to port 81 internal to test if it is working.
Anyone had any luck? Any assistance will be appreciated.

Jeez that sucks, tried everything as well then stumbled upon this thread. Why does it not work on Rain 5G specifically?

Rain as a whole applies a carrier grade NAT. this could be for various reasons like not enough IP address or preventing routers that are compromised to be access externally so you can't get attacked from the internet be it a ddos or even form part of a Chinese/Russian botnet

Hi everyone
I have the 5G Outdoor CPE unit.
The thing keeps switching between 3 towers and when this happens it will only connect 4G.
Then I have to log into the thing and hammer away at the "Reconnect Network" button between 3 and 30 times before it will reconnect 5G.
The longest I've had a stable 5G connection was 14 hours

The signal strength between the three cells are pretty similar:
Cell ID205293569206448131207049729
LTE Signal intensity-94-96-99
LTE Signal quality-7-8-13
NR Signal Intensity-79-79-77
NR Signal Quality181915
RSSI-60-61-62

When 5G connects, the speeds are decent - around 350 down and 65 up on all three towers
I have found that fiddling with the Antenna settings sometimes seems to help. In my case a antenna combine index of 2,5 or 10 gives the best results.

I have had absolutely no help whatsoever from Rain. The service is REALLY disappointing. I'm considering staging my own sit in at their offices in Bryanston.

Has anyone tried playing around with the "Lock Frequency" functionality on these units?

I haver figured out Rain uses band n78, but I have not been able to find the rest of the information for the 3 cells mentioned above.
There are several Android apps that will give the information, but it seems one would need a device that has a 5G modem built in.
Any advice would be REALLY appreciated

I have mine on fixed mode with 720 hour cycle the rest I have not touched. Where is Lock Frequency, do not have that feature in ODU back end.

Anyone know how to reset the router settings? i forgot my username and password of the router and i can't see a reset button pinhole like on the 4g routers.

Depending on your model, there should be a pin hole button underneath the route. press that with a paper clip or wire of some sorts, i think you will need to hold it in for a couple seconds, until the router restarts

i think i just found the reset button for your device, i think it means taking it off the wall. The article that was JUST released, it looks like under the top right screw there seems to be a button of some sorts.... i think thats your button

Send details Please i need to get on the roof again to day and will check.

Unfortunately my outdoor model is mounted way up high, so getting to it for a photo is a little difficult
On the bottom of the unit you should see a little "door" secured by a screw. This is also where the sim card is located in. Once you've opened the flap you will see the hole for the reset button as well as the sim card. I used a paperclip to push the reset button. I'll find the exact details, but pushing it for a couple of seconds while the unit is on, will reset the settings and allow you to log in. Pushing it longer will completely factory reset it, including changing the firmware version back to the version it was on when it left the factoryN5368X images.jpg

Has anyone managed to link their Huawei 5G Outdoor CPE N5368X to the Huawei My AI Life app? Cant seem to get it connected to the app.

Out of curiosity. After a factory reset the Lock frequency is set to 4G. A friend also received a new router and on default, it was set to Lock 4G.

Anyone else noticing this?
