Rain Mobile Feedback Thread

Got my rain SIM card 2 days ago. Started working from around 17h30 yesterday and was working at home around 06h00 this morning (YouTube was loading perfect at 1080p but only getting around 3.3 meg down and 0.2 meg up). Drove from Glenwood to Umhlanga and now it just says "Emergency calls only".

What device are you using?

Your device needs to be reset multiple times during the day for this crap to "work".

Yes this is becoming the norm and Rain do not really care since they starting focusing on 5G.
Seems the 5G users are the only ones that get responses to support requests too. The rest of us struggle and get ignored.

Hardly ever reboot my router nor find it's rebooted by itself/by network.
YMMV.

Why does that matter specifically to your case.
I and many others have already explained the possible reasons many times...distance from tower/signal and load.

I've spoken to multiple people in Durban that are saying they either don't have signal or they have horrendous speeds. It was working yesterday and suddenly it isn't working today.
I'm not saying you're inherently wrong, nobody here did. I just want to know what's going on because services I am paying for are not being rendered.

Maybe I should record all disconnects here as it is far worse than in the past.

Had to cycle my data connection again. This time in another device, to rule out the device I have been using for the past two years for LTE in case it had somehow gone bad...

When the problems started for me I also had this confusion of thinking my hardware was failing. Testing in another modem did not resolve the disconnects issue so conclusion was it's the network.

However for the last couple of days things have been a little better no frequent disconnects (hope I didn't just jinx it)

Totally unusable the whole day today Port Elizabeth

What's regarded as a decent average speed on Rain in Durban? My 4mbps ADSL isn't flattering either.
