Rain network locked router

Hi everyone,

I received a Oppo t1a 5G CPE router with my rain contract, now that i moved away from Rain I would still like to use this router...
However, if i insert any other USIM other than Rain, a message pops up:

Unable to connect to the network. The inserted SIM is not a Rain SIM card. If you want to use this SIM card to access the Internet, contact Rain to obtain the device unlock code.

I reached out to Rain, and Oppo already.

Oppo asked me to contact Rain for assistance. Rain are not willing to help.

If anyone has information that can help me network unlock the router, I would greatly appreciate it!
 
Is there new firmware for it? Maybe you can load that (or even the same version) generic firmware to remove the lock.

Hi jbroo, That's what I was hoping for. I have tried searching for generic firmware, and found nothing yet.
Will keep looking.
 
Good question as Rain does not sell their devices. Its a free to use device and the property remains that of Rains.

That’s incorrect, Rain used to have an option for customers to buy the router outright but that is no longer available.

That was the Huawei CPO devices they had when launched 5G with the depreciating buy-out option and upfront option. The Oppo devices are new devices, therefore would not have been under the "buy-out" banner
 
I manage to unlock those OPPO Routers to all networks im using my Telkom SIM CARD now
