Reception isn't the main consideration here, the main consideration is network quality in your area. Having signal with no throughput is pointless.

Has dropped to zero for me and countless other people. I know you like to ignore evidence but try reading the threads.
Mine seem to be OK now. Although band 1800 does not work and I seem to be throttled to 10 Mbps... Which I don't mind :p

I started with 40/15 Mbps nine months ago. A month or so ago I was sub 1 Mbps. Spent a month with their "support". They are useless. It got worse during that time. No resolution.

Now I'm load balancing Telkom LTE on 1800 MHz and 2300 MHz and getting 70/30. It's costing me R50 more than the Rain + Telkom time switching setup I had.

So **** Rain.

Lol average is still 17.91 Mbps and at the price I can't complain.

Good for you. Was awesome for about 7 months for me.

I await your first "Rain sucks" post. Just a matter of time.

My loadbalancing router should arrive tomorrow. It will be rain and vodacom. Will post some results :p:p

What's the point if they can't even provide proper 4G in most major cities ?
The point as I keep explaining is that they can offload usage in the high traffic areas. It's not about whether or not you will have 5G.

"5G"...
Marketing hype if they don't use the real deal in the 24–86 GHz range.

Sadly yes until Icasa get their ducks in order. 5G itself is only 3x faster than LTE.

Mine is still stable at 2500mhz 90megs down and 30 megs up. still going strong for around 5 months now heheheh band 1800 gives around 60 - 60 megs down and 30 megs up

You can call them, to check your Tower. Tell them to switch you to a different tower. (you have to ask IT nicely. just say your speed is bad... or not good.. It could also be congestion)
