I can't believe they won :wtf:
I was at the Paarl game last night quite excited about the new lights. I was kind of dissapointed, it seems like there were some pretty dark patches around the boundary areas. Better than the old lights I guess but now wow by any stretch. It actually looked quite dark on TV as well.
Dunno, they are LED as well, and people were raving that PE lights were like "daylight". Seeing as there are 6 pylons I thought ot would be a lot better. What did you think? What did you expect? Lights like St Georges?![]()

I was thinking last night that maybe because Paarl has no stands around the field as "backdrop", ot maybe appears darker because you have a black backdrop around the ground. Maybe the light leaks a bit more as it doesnt reflect back from stands etc.Haven't been to Paarl but from a practical point of view I've never photographed in a better lit stadium than SGP, not only in terms of brightness but also overall coverage.

There are 6 pylons each with 60 LED clusters. Not sure what SGP has?
Also seems that LEDs are a lot more directed in the sense that from a certain angle you can look straight into the lights without any glare. It bleeds a lot less. With sunglasses on there is hardly any glare at all.Not sure either but it's a little more complicated than just the number of clusters. I'll see if I can get in touch with one of the guys photographing there last night and see what settings he was using.
Good game, but Warriors have useless players at no6 and no7. Cant field and cant bat. Both average 12 after 30/35 innings with a strike rate of 100.LIONS 182/3 (20.0 Ovs)
WAR 183/6 (19.0 Ovs)
Warriors won by 4 wkts

I was impressed with Ingram, vd Dussen and Rickleton, who showed some real intent in the batting department.
