RAM - What do I have?

Okay I know I have 256mb of RAM, but how do I know what speed is it?

Is it 400, 677, 8oo?

Download http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php and run CPUZ. and look under Memroy or SPD, if it says 200 its DDR400 for example...

Thats nothing, my work PC is 129 016KB RAM

It would have PC100 or PC133 and you could probably upgrade it if you really want...

PcInt have some, but she is 300km away, so won't see the RAM before buying for an upgrade.

m ok, wierd that windows allows u even to run the opperating system at such low ram speeds. if u wanna safe on memmory have u tried ms config in "run" command? will spare more mem if u disable some unwanted programmes running

It might work or not, one has to test it because the motherboard might not like high density RAM that the nwer PC133 are. Im sure you can get a 64MB or something somewhere second hand, I have some here...

I never had problems with my pc, maybe when it copies and writes a cd!
