Ramaphosa Inauguration 2019

After Zuma was booted out, Ramaphosa was sworn in by Mogoeng Mogoeng in a back room (of parliament or the Union Buildings, not sure) and it was televised live for the public. So all legal procedure followed. Must have cost peanuts, they could have repeated the same.

I am all for tradition and inviting public participation, but these are tough times.

Fair point

Disclaimer: I don't in any way support waste of resources...

What's the procedure? Yes, he was president but that stint ended but there must be certain formalities that must be done in public. No?
ANC have a 50%+ majority. They can optimise the procedure if they wanted to. They would rather fill the pockets of their pals who "won" the tenders for this fiasco, while feeding their faces on taxpayer money...

True. But the whole show looked haphazard, troop lines all skew too. Shows a lack of discipline. Not what I expect of people who are supposed to be trained to be sharp, astute, careful, and disciplined.

True of the lines and much of the marching. My post was about the paratrooper.

As deputy president Cyril took an oath to protect our constitution, did he actually do that (consideration all the looting which took place under his nose)
