Ramaphosa suspends Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane

The real problem is that the outgoing PP was appointed by parliament despite warnings to the contrary, and so will the new PP be rubber stamped soon:

It could actually be interesting to see the flow of that money and if any makes it's way to our ex PP... Could be a nice little kick in the pants for Dali

Freedom Front Plus MP Corné Mulder noted that roughly R36 million was spent on Mkhwebane’s legal fees and accused her lawyer, Dali Mpofu, of displaying contempt for the country’s poor majority by suggesting that the money he charged — in the order of R50 000 a day — was “peanuts”.

Mkhwebane is going to set jesus after Gordhan now..
Voting on the committee’s report took place by roll call. When his name was called, Gordhan responded by saying “absolutely yes”.

Holomisa reaching to yet another wrong conclusion. This guy..
UDM leader Bantu Holomisa said Mkhwebane committed the sin of doing her job too thoroughly.

Holomisa is also the type who think leaders are anointed to positions. I wonder if the thought of stepping down has ever occurred to him? Or maybe he wants to surpass the legendary status of The Prince of kwaPhindangene by leading the party for 50 years.

Mkhwebane on Wednesday morning posted Ramaphosa's letter online, stating: "This injustice, sadly perpetrated on Steve Biko Day, will be legally challenged in review proceedings.

"If I perish, I perish. Ngiyathokoza Mzansi and Africa."

She sounds so defeated.
