random HC queues are totally insane

I dont know what its like on your servers... but on Lightbringer its totally retarded!!!

I was in queue for 25 min last night trying to run some random hc's to get some points to finish my last T10 piece...

If you're anything other than a tank you're going to wait. Plain and simple. No one wants to play tanks because dps think it's awesome to dps before the tank has even gotten aggro on mobs.
 
I think its hilarious to play a tank. If DPS take aggro I just let them be. Last night whilst having fun all of a sudden DPS's start to dps only my target and so on, I was very amazed. Seems some started learning!
 
maybe its time I start doing daily hc's again, as a tank. what I can recommend (as a druid anyway) is to do it in dps spec, with dps gear. threat levels are miles higher than normal tanks (crit ftw:D) and you do pretty comparable damage too

I've been doing the same. It's the only way they're going to learn.

I'm on Alonsus. Same battlegroup as Lightbringer. I dont taunt off dps anymore. Even the dps in my guild do this. They are pissed at me cause I switched my main from my warrior to my Resto Druid.

Tonight when they see my warrior pug ICC, when they cancel their run for lack of tanks, they will be very stressed.
 
I have my little old hunter and 3 tanks and i wait in the que longer that its takes the other 3 to do the runs plus the wait time.

When tanking, my pull macro has a skull mark, if a dps hits anything but that skull, he tanks it, easy as that and i save my taunt for when a healer takes aggro, but that is the onlyu time. I played my hunter and olny my hunter for 4 years and was quick to blame a tank. Now that i have 3 tanks and one dps, i only attack the target the tank marks and if he doesnt, i just check to see which one he charged and that will be my main target.
 
I haven't run HC's lately, but when I did do some two weeks ago with by priest I found it was less than 10 minutes wait for dps.

I also saw that the groups where cross-bg. I had ppl from Alonsus in my group, which is Cruelty bg, but I'm on Blade's Edge, which is Emberstorm.

Prot you almost get instand groups all the way through vanilla and tbc instances

You pull it, you tank it
Only player I "need" to save is my healer who is healing my arse
Aggro bunnys gets Aggro and die

Tanking is fun cos people get pissed off at you cos they are playing kuk

spec tank if you can HTC or Healer if your purly a DPS class go do some quests or farm ore herbs or Skins while you wait...
 
I started a warrior myself.. because this waiting is abit insane, that's why i have my healer aswell :)
 
lol so last nite I went for my 1st hc in months. qued as tank, instant group invite. went in dps spec and gear. 40something k buffed (I was rolling as bear) in UK. only died once cos the healer was messing about. must have been a noobie group or something, because I was top dps, and did about 80k more damage through the whole run. it was quite satisfying :D

My Warrior gets in instantly as tank (in Fury spec with Max DPS gear) and there's hardly any issue. Just have to kite a mob or two on occasion if the healer gets behind.
Result is insane fast and fun Heroics, with the tank alone doing close to 50% of the group's damage every time ;) 4 DPS and 1 healer is win.

There's seriously not much to heal in heroics these days, so most healers are only too happy that they have something to do for a change. (I have a resto shaman alt that sleeps through heroics, so i know what it's like)

After reading 4.0.3's patch notes I haven't logged into my tank...

Too afraid of the severe nerfs warriors got :(

Least my priest is still usable :twisted:
 
AG Oculate, its not that bad being a warrior tank. You just have to L2P and its all good :p

I haven't been told to stfu and l2p in a while :D

All these [-]changes[/-] nerfs mean are that the impatient dps will be dying more often :rolleyes: Doesn't bother me :twisted:
 
Not really... If I FD, the mobs will be heading to the healer that healed me... healer dies... tanky dies... game over... everyone blames the tank... WIN ! **grin**
