Hey guys!

Ive been having this random error on my pc, it just shuts down randomly and even sometimes just after it finished starting up. I have thought about a lot of things that it may be, from overheating CPU, graphics card, corrupt windows files an etc, but sometimes my pc runs perfectly fine.

i also have linux on my pc but on a different hardrive and that starts up perfectly everytime. so i dont know if its possibly an error with my hardive that has some bad sectors on, eventho scandisk didnt pick up anything or my windows is corrupted.

I have screenshots of the error windows showed once after starting up and saying "windows has recovered from a serious error" as well as a screenshot of my pc specs.

This is the error that came up after one start up:

And these are my Computer Specs, hopefully it helps:

And this is my Graphics Card:

I use ATI tools to overclock my graphics card but i overclock it within safe settings, it doesnt give any errors :)

thanks, i hope somebody can help! :)

i have speedfan in my pc, pretty nice app, and i did find that it got warm at times, but it was during some 3D rendering which is understandable coz its purely CPU calculations. And the pc has restarted eventho i had speedfan on still.

This morning it ran fine again. eish i dont know. and i surely hope my moetherboard isnt packing up then i might as well pack p and leave too! hehe

Thanks guys. i will keep trying!

I was/am having a similar issue for a little while now. The PC would just shut down without any warning at varying times. I thought it could be a heating issue due to dust/dirt on the fans, and was a bit lazy to sort it out ... well until last night when I needed to get something done urgently and it crashed on me 3 times in the space of 10 minutes. I then disconnected everything and cleaned the case ... concentrating on the fans... removed a fair amount of dirt ... PC hasn't shut down as yet .... maybe its something u need to try :)

My pc does the exact same thing .
I figured out its a combination of my ram and my psu.
Both of mine are faulty .

Also could be your ram or graphics card is over heating .

Try re-seating all your RAM modules and epansion cards too, to ensure proper electrical contact everywhere. I had similar issues which disappeared after I moved the RAM modules around a few times while running memtest.

i re-seated my RAM, took off my CPU cleaned the whole ting, took out the graphics card and cleaned the GPU fan and heatsink, which was pretty dirty btw, and now everything runs smoothly again :) thanks alot guys!

Just make sure you put enough thermal compound back on the CPU and heatsink after cleaning.
