Raru assures website downtime is hosting problem

If I understood correctly you were battling with DD/Optinet to bolster their defences.

In an earlier search it pointed that Raru was also hosted there.

It now states MWEB is the hosting provider, so dunno.

Maybe they moved?

Lol, but considering their ecommerce presence that downtime is unacceptable. You can understand this with small players considering budgetary constraints, but in Raru’s case one would expect an SLA with high-level mitigatory options. I can only think that something at the core went down, because not even a distribution node would then ensure uptime. When you are dead at the core, and pending on the lead time, then one would need to explore the option to restore at a serviceable core. Then again, that would depend on tenancy, and how well resources can be scaled since a move isn't the best option unless you change service provider. It could be any other issue, perhaps at DNS level? Don’t know I am being highly speculative.

I am curious whether their hosting is managed or whether they manage their own hosting?

Been in the business for ages. Sad. Used to support them (Raru) but sadly now need to think twice before I do again. Just weeks before Black Friday too.

I hope they.can sort their crap out. We need competition in the online shopping space.
 
Now post an article about Mybroadband which was down and also have massive issues with connectivity @Jan. Give a reason why the country's top tech website can't keep things online.

Is Mybroadband busy closing down?

Seems like the media is out to get Raru now with bad press due to their bad service and clients complaining.
