Raspberry Pi budget computer enters production

Dear Customer,

Thank you for joining the Raspberry Pi revolution and registering your interest in Raspberry Pi’s Model B board from RS Components.

We have received extraordinary levels of demand for this product. To help ensure as many people as possible can experience the Raspberry Pi concept, we are limiting boards to one per customer, and we will send you further information on your request in the next seven days. Once we receive the boards into stock, they will be allocated on a first-come first-serve basis, in order of when requests were received.

Thank you for your patience; we will be in touch as soon as possible with more details.

It basicly says what the oke above posted in english haven read or spoke dutch in a long time i might be wrong

Yea thats the standard email everyone is getting. Did you perhaps register on the wrong site? Cos then sorry for you.. you probably wont be getting one this time round :p

Update: It appears the servers of both retailers are completely crushed by traffic at the moment, and we're told RS will ship in the UK only

I wonder if they will make 2 NIC ones. They would make such cool gateway servers.
 
Well I got the registration confirmation email. So now waiting for tomorrow when they announce when we ganna get them. Going to eft the money right away :D
 
There is absolutely nothing stopping a SA company from doing this and offering it for sale seeing it's a open source project.

It's not that hard to understand German. Afrikaans, Dutch, German are all Germanic languages and not that hard to read. It only gets a bit harder when you get to the Scandinavian languages with Icelandic & Faroese being the hardest to interpret.
 
An article on the Raspberry Pi in the April edition of Linux Format magazine makes a good read.
