RASPBERRY Pi Order Placed !!

I wonder when the photos will start rolling in with the Raspberries up and running :)
 
What are the plans for it?

I'm thinking to have multiple SD cards, and boot the one I am wanting:

1. XBMC
2. Default for browsing
3. A dedicated for sickbeard and SABNZBD (when we are allowed to order more)
 
Placed my order late yesterday night.

Have you started thinking about cases? I wish I had access to a 3d printer. :cry:

Yep, saw that. But ~R140 is much more expensive and much less fun than building your own. I'll probably go for a Lego case to start with, and then start playing with plastic and superglue to make something more permanent. I think old shopping cards (those credit card sized plastic cards) might make an interesting Smartiebox type of case.

Just make sure static isn't a problem in whatever you use :p

I registered interest with a secondary email address and have received that invite to order as well. My 1st order (18 May) could be here next week. I will keep the spare tyre on still, and evaluate my priorities when the 1st Pi comes in.
 
Yeah, also did the same with secondary e-mail and have received that notification today. Not sure I can grab it though unless I can dig up another R360 somewhere.

Just curious, but anyone expecting some odd import duties and fees on these?

I doubt it. I imagine RS will use there normal supply means and couriers to get the product to us. I know the order process is slightly different, but don't think it will affect us.

Edit: I actually see now that there are 3d models of the pi. So I'm going to rather build a case around the model. That way I know it will fit.
