Raspberry Pi touch display launched

The official Raspberry Pi touch display – a 10-point capacitive touchscreen with an 800×480 resolution – is now available.

A cool development. It does push up the cost significantly but that will hopefully change over time

LOL, it took them this long to get it working and to market....

The Pi Factory is already selling it, but retails for R1,191.30. So I guess that's for tax and import.

I'll wait to see if I can't get it cheaper later.

I was looking for a 7" touch screen solution that's powered directly by the Pi and not any 12v power supply.
So when loadshedding strikes, I can still use it to work and watch movies/series/anime etc..
