Ready, steady, get Firefox

Sorry, not getting onto the bandwagon.

Oh well. Only 4.999.999 people that will be downloading it now.
Firefox is still gonna beat (they have been doing so the past few years anyways) all the other wannabe web browsers out there.

I also prefer Opera; 9.5 is super :). But IE must surely be losing more ground with the release of new versions of the other browsers.

I think they will also be releasing IE 8 sometime, The beta is out but gave up on IE after 7 :)

After about 4 years I guess FF has become like Windows, everyone uses it because they have been doing so for so long. Too bad I think it's UI sucks, rofl Opera wanna be ;)

In this business everyone copies everyone. I'm quite sure many feature in Opera come straight out of FF :p

For me the defining appeal of Firefox is the multitude of browser plugins that are available for it. I almost feel naked when i do a fresh install of FF and none of my plugins are there :D

I'm already using Firefox 3 RC 2 ... but will download the full release tomorrow!

Anybody know what time that starts for us? I assume it must start at midnight?

Cant wait for the release.
Still using FF2 but I will have to wait till tomorrow afternoon...

I would actually guess 2am. They will probably release at 00.00 gmt or if we are even more unlucky 00.00 US time and thats quite a lot later for us.

Just like with other software, competitors in the browser market add a few new features of their own and include features that are currently popular with their competitors as well. With FF being an open source project, it no doubt has the advantage when it comes to add-ons.

But the reason I prefer Opera is that is has a certain amount of sleekness that FF can't replicate.

So then when we get into the office on Tuesday we should be good. That is past midnight on the East Coast of the USA.
