In Stremio, is there a way to show when new episodes of shows I'm watching are released?

I want to open it up and see 'ah, there's a new episode of this show, let me watch', instead of having to remember when they air or check online.

No idea, but seren does that in conjuction with trakt.

Thanks for the screenshots, it's good to see how it looks.

I like the idea of just booting the app up and seeing a list of all my shows in picture-format, kind of like Plex, but with new ones brought to the front when there's a new episode, but I think that's going to be a tall ask.
I'm busy with the chicago series, that's why its at the top, but the list is in order of release date sort of. There are other folders to see what's coming and latest eps in release order:

Exactly the same problem on Android TV.

Surprisingly, the desktop app has a neat calendar that works well for this feature.

Might make the Kodi plunge just for this.

I don't use builds for kodi, just std kodi install then install seren/trakt app.
This is a theme/skin called Arctic Horizon 2, and I set it up with Seren.

I didn't use a build either.

It's all set up through TMDB and syncs with Trakt, so it shows me any trakt list like calendar, next up, etc.

It's kind of like a supercharged Netflix

kodi config/options are endless. I've been using kodi for about 10 years now. I was very disappointed with myself that I didn't start using it 20 years ago.

I just find it a bit slow. Stremio was lightning fast compared to Kodi, but Kodi is nice in that it will give me my calendar and shows in progress.

I use PC Windows. Scrapes in a few seconds. I'm assuming you talking about android tv box?

There are some scraping settings you can play with to speed things up iirc.

My best feature of kodi is what did that guy say? Press left arrow and letter t for subs.

Yeh, I'm using it on a Chromecast with Google TV. I don't want to be tied to my PC because I want to power only the TV with a backup battery, and the PC is in another room. I was using Plex and downloading on the PC, but this streaming setup is way better.

I only miss with Plex that new episodes would appear in recently added.

Have you tried plex for kodi?

Isn't that just for watching stuff hosted on your media server?
yeah, i do have a few hdds of media, that is the only thing i've ever used plex for (full disclosure), i'm no plex expert, but kodi still does a better job. i just know the one time i tried to play something and there was no sound, and after some googling, i found out it was a codec thing, which was solved by using the kodi plex app instead of the straight up plex app (go figure).

I only use plex of the one lg smart tv in the house or else i would use the android box and kodi but i gave the box away because it didn't do netflix.
