Reapplying CPU Thermal Paste

The problem with this failure is it isn't immediately noticeable, it happens gradually, according to the Intel press release. The odds are that I won't even be affected, only between 5-20% of boards are, depending on who you talk to. But why take the chance right?

Update: I found Asus' offices, after a long search through Sandton City and questioning the less-than-knowledgeable staff. I now hate these huge, flashy, Pretoria malls a lot less. Seriously, that place looks like it's been designed by MC Escher on LSD. In the dark.

Anyway, exchanged the board, no problem, took about 5 minutes, now I'm running my spanking new B3. Awesome customer service from Asus! (Asoos lol)
 
Yeah dude I hate Sandton City. I literally get stressed and a bit irrationally emotional just walking from my car to Asus' office and back! Crazy place, but I'm glad you got sorted :)

Got my new Coolermaster Hyper 212+ now installed:
Idle: 27
Load (Prime95 Heat test): 45

So that's me sorted as well, might try hit that 4.0ghz clock just for fun later today :p

I have a very stable and cool 4.0ghz on my i5-760 with the Hyper 212+. I can guarantee you that it is up to the job :)
 
It was much easier than I thought as well. The Asus Suite software pretty much did everything, all I had to do was click a button called "Fast" :p It's now running perfectly stable at 4.4ghz
Idle: 31
Load: 55
So am quite impressed by both the cooler and the ease at which Asus have made it to overclock :)
