Rear foglights driving thread

On my wife's Up I still haven't fixed the rear fog, so when ever the lights are on, the rear fogs are on. I just haven't gotten around yet to taking the bulb out, or booking the car in to have it checked out. Will hopefully take the bulb out this weekend and then book it in some time late August when I have time.

So sorry if any of you have to drive behind me in Stellenbosch, I don't mean to drive with it on. :(

You could always put a sticker over it - Don't you know a VW is not a VW without stickers on it  and if you put a Moster Sticker on it you will get 5KW in power

:crylaugh: im going to do this this weekend!! haha!

Or take the fuse corresponding to the offending light out, then it matches every other Polo out on the road

:crylaugh: this thread! im gonna drive with my fogs on from now on just to get on this thread!

Listen i totally get your frustrations, specifically at night when the fogs blind the cr@p out of you and it limits your vision for about 3 years after being behind the dude with their fogs on, i dont get why its a problem during the day (i really dont see the need to have them on during the day) but what i dont get is why are people raging about seeing cars with them on during the day. It doesnt blind you like it would if it was night time, so why rage about it? Rage about the night drivers with their fogs on.
My issue with them isn't that its too bright. Its just brighter than normal tail lights, it appears that the idiot is driving on his brakes or busy braking and is an major anoyence in busy high speed traffic on the highway.

If only I didn't hate stickers on a car. :( That car could really use that extra 5 KW.

A colleague driving behind me on Friday actually said the same thing, I looked as if I was constantly braking.

If they do it during the day (why would you do that?), they probably are stupid enough to do the same at night...

Ok thats a fair enough, that makes perfect sense

lol that is true. I try to limit the amount of lights on my dashboard (Leave the lights for errors etc lol. dont want this orange light on my cluster all the time, will keep thinking there is a problem with the car) People in question probably think, they must have as many lights on the cluster turned on as possible lol

Never once have I been blinded by foglights. People can be annoyed at the stupidest things.

It's worse in some car models, mostly BMW and Audi, but as seen in above pic, Corsa Ds as well. It's brighter than the brake lights, and try driving behind one for extended periods...

A Golf Cabriolet - CAW 27220 in good old George tonight with a retina-singeing rear fog light right in front of my eyes. Unfortunately for him there wasn't a cloud in sight so it was all in vain.

Pity.
