It doesn't affect my driving, it's just very irritating to my eyes, and it certainly can affect the night visibility of ones eyes.

Even on the video, I'm having target fixation and can't keep looking at the road.
 
Was on the roads in PTA today ..... Don't ask why. BUT what I noticed is the number of cars with their fog lights on in the heavy rain. The front ones are not a problem and they do help. As to the back fog lights, they ARE a distraction because it is easy in the rain to mistake them for brake lights. Tonight I had to come home from Centurion and I had a huge problem being alternatively blinded by on coming cars with their brights on and the dimwits with the rear fog lights on!

The Blik Met Wieles are particularly bad! The drivers are ALL idiots!. Those infernal rear fog lamps are at eye level, in line with the brake lights and are incredibly annoying when crawling along at -3 km/hr. EVERY BMW I came across had these stoopid lights on!

I've driven behind all sorts of cars with rear fogs on. Never had an issue. What I do not like though, is an approaching car with one dead headlight, and the working one on bright.

Hes probably referring to the guys that add DRLs to cars that don't come with DRLs from the factory.

The older focus ST models also have a very bright rear fog light.

2. Front fog lights improves the visibility of the cars coming from the front....for me anyway...so switched mine on also. I did not find them irritating or distracting.

I cannot comment on the rear ones as I don't know if the cars in front of me had theirs turned on. I kept my rear fogs turned off.

Front ones are fine, it's the rear ones that makes me want to get road rage.
 
Was driving behind a knob this morning. It was raining obviously and he had his rear fog light on. It was extremely bright and very very distracting. So i just sat behind him with my brights on. He must have known he was being a ****, because maybe 2min later he turned off the fog light.

Fog lights ARE FOR FOG u fking knobs!!!!!

I'm going to be blunt - what a monumentally dumb and ignorant statement that is.

But maybe next time you could answer the question instead of sidestepping?

If you know that rear fogs may cause a distraction to others, leaving you with an increased chance of being involved in an accident, why would you in any sane frame of mind put them on when not required?

I never drive with mine on, ever. It doesn't bother me when other people do.

Maybe u should have your eyes tested for cataracts? There is no way its not distracting you if there is clear visibility? Im just curious, as to your eyes' health is all
