Rear foglights driving thread

I need to make a bumper sticker to educate the idiots.

Your signature, its my exact same pc. Respect brother, now print those darn bumper stickers. We can use them on our own cars as education, but ALSO, we can go and stick them over idiots' rear foglights when they stop at a robot in front of us!

Just switch your normal headlights on. It really isn't that hard.

To look cool.... Partly, but if I put my headlights on in the daytime it would piss off the guys on the other thread that despises people who drive with headlights on during the day.

Don't understand how guys have a problem with front fogs in the late afternoon when the light has faded, but then super bright DRL's are fine?

I still hate rear fogs though, count me in on the bumper stickers.

It's not illegal to drive with headlights on during they so they can go play in traffic...

This car doesn’t have auto headlights, so I just leave them on. So why all the hate towards front fogs? They provide the same benefits as headlights.

Front and rear fogs cannot be grouped, I first commented here because I share in the common disgust towards bright REAR fogs.

Fogs aren’t focussed like (dim) headlights, so they can give off glare. In practice, some do and some don’t. I just find front fogs completely pointless unless you’re in such thick mist that you’re down to first gear with your head it the window trying to spot the next cats eye.

Yes they have different switches. That why I always have front fogs on.

What does the manual call them?

Anyway, the turning-fog-light-on feature of some fog lights will be regarded as homologation (why xtrails could have rooftop lights while they are actually also illegal, as are most LED light bars).

Same for me. My Merc has a setting somewhere in the menus that lets you set the auto lights to always.

No problem. It is always dusty or smokey, so we are within the law anywhere in SA
