Recent experiences getting Schengen visa

Nope she has her own business sometimes exceeds my income. Provided two sets of bank accounts.

Historically when she was employed though and applied at the same time she was also granted half of mine two sep sets of accs.
Ja, I think that is our problem, we are both self-employed and it is just easier to supply one person's stuff. Next time I will do the effort to do both.

Man, this whole Schengen Visa thing is a headache.

I applied for a SV via BLS (Spanish Consulate) but was declined due to insufficient proof of funds. I gave them bank statements showing EUR 20000 and a healthy monthly deposit as well. According to their checklist, I only needed to show EUR 108 per person per day. EDIT: I requested 84 days, so needed to show EUR 9072. I had more than double the required amount.

Tried calling the consulate for further info, but they said they only give responses via email.

I was due to leave on the 12th to go to London first... and then only enter the Schengen zone on the 30th of August... Now I'm unsure... Push the London portion of the trip back a week and reapply for the SV, or cancel the Schengen portion of the trip...

ATM issue "stamped" ones these are the ones we use for all our schengen applications - FNB ATMs not sure about the rest

Also just do it dont want something silly like that costing you thousands... or missed trip

Greek visa issued without issue in less than the stipulated time but we followed instructions to the letter. I suggest you do the same to avoid future frustration.

I also use FNB ATM ones…but the verification part has been broken for a while. Guess the consulates don’t check.

Had a bad experience the last batch I printed stood and waited 25min for it to stray printing.

Absolutely bizarre!

I reported that verification fails a few weeks ago, their backend team are still trying to figure out what is wrong. Confidence inspiring.

We busy at the moment applying for a Schengen to go to Austria for a holiday using VFS Global in CT.

The main pain points for me are
  1. The number documents I needed to print. Would be nice if we can one day do this electronically.
  2. For the 3 of us it's costing R6900, in 2018 we paid R3900. (including agency fees).
  3. Previously it was easier to get a multi year visa but according to the one that helped us it is these days much more difficult. Having a visa already makes organizing a holiday so much easier.
All fingers crossed that we'll get our visa's mid August.

Did this last year its painful I got 2 years wife got 1 also super kek.

France was a breeze loads of docs but got within 14 hours

Our Serbian applications 2 years back were actually declined and we had to reapply again and hand cash through the gate again at the embassy for the application no receipts etc/ sometimes wonder if they purposefully decline...
