Looking to buy a lcd to use for PC and PS3 games, is there a specific one someone could recommend that has excellent quality?

Was looking at a Sony Bravia HD ready 20" tv today, should i stay away from the tv version if i whant to use it on my pc as well.

Would appreciate any advice, thanks

I went for the Samsung 226bw when I upgraded recently. Totally happy with it.

LG226 WTQ FTW!!! Much easier to setup than the samsung with no ghosting issues what so ever and graphics are awesome..

Iv got a Packard Bell Maestro 22" and im LOVING IT! I took it over the LG, Samsung and BenQ LCDs as it has Diamond view. :P

The Samsung, LG and BenQ 22" LCDs are all really nice and good.
Its upto you and how much you are willing to spend.etc

Also the thing with the Samsung 22" LCDs is that you get 3 different types (S, A and C) The quality of the A and C panels arent as great as the S panel but it still looks awsome.

I havent ever used or seen the BenQ or the LG but iv seen a 20.1" LG LCD and it was really awsome. Iv seen the Samsun 22" as well and its a very nice monitor. :D

If you want a glossy screen, look at the HP 22". If you want a matt coating, go for the LG 22". with the Samsung, it is a mission to get the right panel.

Stay away from Benq.

I own the LG 22" and I'm as happy as a Pig in Mud.

I also got myself a Samsung 226BW 22" LCD

Works great for both PC and PS3, as u can force it to accept 1080p quality on PS3 :D

I got the 226BW for my PC and XBOX 360. best budget way of getting HD imo

Samsung 226BW 22" LCD - very nice lcd

will buy one soon :)

if you willing to fork out you could give Viewsonic X Series VX2255wmb 2'' 5ms response/Graphic Series VG2230wm 22'' 5ms a wirl :D very good stuff!! otherwise like all the rest! Samsung 226BW

Thanks for all the recommendations, think i'll go for the Samsung 226BW if i can get the S panel, otherwise the LG, cheers

As far as I know you can't tell which are S panels anymore.

thats true got one two weeks ago (awesome screen btw) and there is no marking on the sticker on the rear and the panel manufacturer has been removed from the service menu

You can but it's a lot harder. You have to open up the back side of the screen. Remove the screws and you will find the sticker inside.

I am sure this voids the warranty so I haven't do this and also no need to considering I found nothing wrong with my screen.

I agree

Did some more searching, considering the NEC MultiSync 20WMGX2 at the moment, a bit expensive, but i'm a bit of a quality freak and this screen sounds really good.

Sybaritic is a wonderfull site, I emailed them asking if their Samsung 226BW is a A,C or S panel and they actually sent me a photo of the serial sticker showing the S. Its really weird when you get proper customer support in SA.
