Anyone know of a good free chess game. There are so many out there, was wondering if anyone has found the a decent one which they would recommend.

Also I should mention that Chessmaster 10th edition is only R47 at take2. Definitely worth it.

Chessmaster is good but requires some overhead ito 3D gfx. If you prefer the simple 2D style top down boards, try sourceforge.

There are 2d sets available. Also Chess master 11 is at take2 for R87.

With regards to the chess engine, Chessmaster has lot's of different "players" you can plat against. Some easier than others. So just choose you "opponent".
