I need a wireless router that is capable of joining other wireless networks in the 2.4ghz range. Something like the wrt54gl, what else is there? Doesn't need to be as powerfull. I need to join another wireless network, set the ip on the router etc.
Thanx!

I have a RouterBoard 133C that I'm selling, make me a offer. I'm not really sure if it will work for what you trying to do, but it might.

I'm not so familiar with RouterBoard's I just bought it to test out and never used it.

The difference between the wrt and the rb is that you still need to get a radio, pigtail, antenna and lmr for the rb, also an enclosure, WRT has it al already, but I'd rather work with a RB kit, than a WRT any day. (IF you want to go long range, you'll have to change the antenna for the WRT too anyways.

Cisco 871, best router to get I would say!
And you can use the Security device manager(SDM) its a graphical user interface that you can use to configure and manage the router, this means that u don't have to learn any commands.

log on to www.cisco.com to find out more, I would give u a direct link but I have used up my cap:(

Mikrotik (RB's)also has a GUI called winbox. One does have to have a basic knowledge to config it properly though.

I guess it all depends on how far you want to link and how much you want to spend.:D

I find winbox much more powerfull. More options, but for something simple a bit too much. The firewall does come in handy though.
