One of our cars is over 10 years old, is rare, and it is time to replace. Looking at the new cars is a bit depressing as the prices are huge for rubbish. Can anyone recommend a reliable, "sensible" 2nd hand car for my husband:

Reliable
Parts and service reasonable
Say 1600 engine (speed not an issue)
Sedan-type with reasonable boot size, even a station wagon
Conservative but tasteful
Husband is tall so not a low roof
Preferably not "zef" like opel monza or ford

Budget: max R120k (less would be better)

If you can pick up an old RAV4 with low mileage, these make awesome second hand cars.

What about a Honda Civic Sedan? 1.8 vtec engine with loads of space and Honda reliability.
