Can anyone recommend a decent ADSL Wired/Wireless router, preferably with wireless bridging (not sure what its called) of networks? (I'd like to have one wireless network at home instead of two).

Tired of this NETGEAR POS I'm using.

The other wireless router I have is a Gigabyte GN-B49G (old, but been quite reliable).

The two routers are on the same wired network - but I'd prefer just one wireless SSID

You can use the same SSID for dissimilar wireless routers, just use same authentication and encryption type, most devices will swap between the two happily

As for routers,TP-link,D-link and Asus are quite good imo

Did not know that.

I'll give it a go.

Although the netgear is still a POS.

Depends on the chipset :P

POS chipset.

Wireless constantly drops, range is terrible, the Gigabyte on the other side of the house has better range, can't copy large files (+1GB) and it drops... have to turn it off for at least five minutes when trying to restart it, otherwise it won't come up.

I thought of that - but its probably in the price region of a new router.

Can one put a price on sanity? :p
