My Sony WH1000XM4s work great with my laptop and phone, but I skimped on my motherboard and don't have BT on my desktop PC. I bought a R200 USB BT dongle off TAL, but the POS disconnects every now and then when it feels like it. Sometimes 10 minutes, sometimes 2 hours.
I don't really feel like trying everything until I find something that works.

Does anyone use a BT dongle that actually work constantly?

Which dongle did you get from TAL? What OS are you using?

Windows 10 and now 11. I remember disabling power management for BT on 10, but it didn't help.

Edit:
In device manager it said the device reported a problem and was stopped by windows.

I use an Orico bluetooth 4.0 dongle (from Computermania) that works very well on Windows 10, it costed me R100 in-store. It was a mission to get it working on W11. I have no issues with disconnects, but having to mess around in the device manager to connect every time is a pain, so I haven't used it for a few months now.

I have the same kak with my el cheepo dongle

It also interferes with the BT from my controller, and if you decide to move it to another USB port windows decides its malfunctioning and you have to rape the drivers to get it to work again.

TP-Link UB400 - I use this with my Sony WH1000XM3s

Zero issues so far, have about 70 hours or so, on Windows 11

Actually, I am talking absolutely crap

My headphones are bluetooth'd to my TV....
But the dongle does still work well on Windows 11, use it for my XBox Series controllers

Save yourself slot of hassle and use the included 3.5mm cable, get an extender if you need it.

I do, but don't really want another cable on my desk.
Also, I only use them while working and use my gaming headset when gaming. Switching often is annoying.
