I'm busy with a business plan and i need to find a reliable E-Commerce Software package which i will use to sell my products.
As always I've googled but there's just so many software packages out there that i don't know which one to choose.
Are there any E-Commerce software packages that you guys would recommend?

Out of curiosity to you guys know what the popular company's(take Two, kalahari etc) use?

Thanks in advance

I personally hate those solutions so much (all of them disappointed me in some way) that I've contemplated writing my own one and posting it on source forge or something (if there isn't already one), that's just my opinion tho.

But I'll tell you which to stay away from: Take2 and Sybaritic's system sucks. Prophecy's is okish.

Are there free ones?

Yes.

But i want a good reliable one.
The mweb one looks like the best at the moment. But i'm hoping somebody on the forum has experience in using them and can recommend a good one.

If there aren't then that means Sybaritic paid for that atrocious website of theirs, or some n00b made it, either way that is the worst one.

Take2's website seems better than I remember tho.

Take 2's system seems very good. All my friends are singing their praises after ordering something from them

dablakmark8....
Is my thought process correct...

Get Merchandise--->>Use (oscommerce)Software to make transactions--->>Get couriers to deliver products.

Or is there other additional software that i will need to do the transactions?

Sorry bit O/T but do you need any sort of licensing etc to be able to run an online store, or do you just need merchandise and a website?
