Morning People,

How would one go about recording DSTV programms without a PVR decoder. Simply by using the normal DSTV Decoder.

:confused::confused::confused:

Or you could have a two way splitter connection on the output of the DSTV Decoder ( the cable that goes to your TV ) and then run a cable off that to your PC and get a TV Tuner Card for it ( +- R300 ).
Pick up the DSTV Signal through it and then Hit the Record butten

if you go the PC route I would recommend a TV card with hardware encoding. something like the Hauppauge PVR-150.

If you plan on Recording lots of programs you need to Get a Tivo. Tivo downloads Guide Data over the net so all you'll have to do is select the program by name and Tivo will automatically record it for you without you having to check a TV to schedule the recordings.
