Rectron Pricelist

Kuk man, you go to the supplier offer them cash and booya you go.

Maybe that applies to Rectron, I don't know as they aren't one of my suppliers.

But other suppliers do not allow their price-lists so handed out. 2 examples:

Unless expressly stated to the contrary the company owns the intellectual property rights in and to this pricelist and the unauthorised use hereof is expressly prohibited.

I feel all cost prices should be public knowledge... to some degree. I remember in my student days the local shops all suddenly increased their food prices, but the one shop owner went a step further and actually put up some rough figures in his shop about his costs now compared to a few months ago. It was nice to see that the owner was just trying to survive and not trying to rip us off.

Anyone here ever had a look at how much stuff out there actually cost? Like eg. glasses/frames? I've seen cost prices as low as ~R120 for a full frame + prescription lenses + delivery ... but being sold for ~R800+. Ay caramba

In many instances Rectron is NOT cheaper. You might as well go to Makro or any dedicated reseller.
Rectron for me is simply a corporate supplier, efficient, available,
Nothing more, nothing less.

At work we have accounts with Axiz, Bathesda, Rectron, Pinnacle, Sahara, Esquire (I use my MyBB acc) and Miro.

Esquire's specials prices are about the lowest you can buy most items at, so if you are curious, look at those. Except the birthday specials, those prices are seriously low, saw no prices that came close.

Usually Sahara has been the cheapest in my experience (as I said, except when Esquire has specials). It depends on what you buy tho. Most everything can be had from Esquire, except they sell sh#tty PSUs, Screens (not Samsung = crap in my book :p) and cases.

As others have said tho, sometimes specials from Makro, Incredible Connection beat any of these resellers prices.

And as others have said, hassle, I really, REALLY hate driving to Rectron, Bethesda and Axiz. I work close to Esquire tho, so that I still do. The price difference would have to be huge for me to even consider. I'd rather get it from Prophecy, wootware, etc.

I dont think its "correct" (used loosely) to just distribute this pricelists. Sure, you cant buy from many of the distributors but still shouldnt be done.

Perhaps someone could point out where we can get car dealer purchase prices, would like to know how much the auto industry is trying to rip off the consumer.

So what if we know the cost price of the items? End users still can't buy from distributors.

Make your own thread.

Mods can lock this thread as it has served its purpose and is just going OT now.

Can I also have a price list please lol. Would love to compare prices with what we are paying at retail shops. Just out of curiosity :)

Fixed ±10% mark-up for the average online shop. You can work it out from there. :)

In all honesty you are not being ripped off by online stores, some prices i reckon don't even have a 5% mark up. Only the gigabyte brand that you may find higher pricing, rectron's cpu, gpu an d most things that are not gigabyte are more expensive than other places. So if you see a cpu at an online stores there is a 99.9% chance they don't buy it from rectron.

Anyone know why Rectron Cape Town moved... apparently the reason is "because there is bad karma in the building"

So today I go and fetch stock in the new place and I'm wondering... maybe they should've finished BUILDING the damn place before moving! parking was a joke of note!
