Recycling old adsl routers

Hi,

I keep collecting old routers when I change ISPs. They are in perfect working order, so reluctant to discard them. Is there a way to pass them on to someone / some organization that can make use of them? Alternatively, is it possible to recycle these?

Would love to know what others are doing with their old routers.

They make poor boat anchors / door stops...


I have used a few as WAP's though.
- disable DHCP; give them a fixed IP outside the LAN DHCP range and voila ... A working WAP

I use one as a switch, plugged in a lan cable from my ISP router and then connecting my dstv explora’s. Works great!!
