The proper name for it is "Keratosis Pilaris".
These are small red bumps that appear on upper arms, sometimes thighs, abdomen area, chest, buttocks, etc.
50% of the world's population has this.
It is a skin disorder where the pores are unable to shed keratin fast enough and become clogged and inflamed, giving it the red goosebump look.
I came across a website (www.kpsoap.com) that claims to treat it, but they are in the US and the bars cost R40 each.
Is there any way I could make my own soap (containing 3% salicylic acid and 10% sulphur)? Perhaps a chemist/pharmacy could do this?
If this works (there are anecdotal reports of the soap helping clear it up), it may well provide relief to many sufferers of KP.
Are there any forumites that also have this?
