Greetings all,

A trust, of which I'm a trustee and beneficiary, owns a fully paid up property. I would like to find out if it is possible to refinance such a property i.e. take out a bond in the name of the trust, similar to how an individual can refinance a property they own.

Thanks in advance for the responses.

Thanks for the response. Could I ask a follow up question?

What would the bank / financing institution require in order to issue the bond?

Some form of surety or guarantee. That would likely be you saying you are to pay in case of loan default, or assets you or someone else, hold. This could be something belonging to the trust as well.
There are different ways of doing it but in all instances you'll need appropriate risk mitigation.
