Rejecting evolution with science...

There's really no need to respond to such posts from Swa. The more he writes, the more it is clear how little he knows about the matter. Some really dumbfounded posts. It is a shame that people like Ekstasis are being mislead by him. I feel that most people will see through the BS though so there is no need to respond to his posts. After all, we can post a bunch of links for him to learn from but given that he spends time online refuting the subject, whilst not actually knowing much about it, I don't think it will help. In most cases people try and learn a bit about the matter for themselves, before debating it, for fear of writing rubbish. Not Swa though.

I don't think there is anything wrong by NOT labeling a person or groups of people as "insert whatever"-tard. There are better ways to express yourself if you really are interested in a good natured discussion. Also, doing so just does not contribute towards any kind of meaningful exchange between people with opposing opinions. It really does appear to be just a derogatory term used to bait and/or insult people.
But of course, to each his own.

See again you misunderstand the term creotard. There is no such thing as a good natured discussion with a creotard. They will do whatever it takes to push their side including purposefully lying and misquoting. They are dishonest a**holes. These are the sorts of people described under the creotard label.

It looks as though you still have yet to look up the word and how it is used.

Irrelevant. The strength of the 'creation/design hypothesis' isn't measured by how weak the case for evolution is. It has to stand on its own feet, and it's unable to. That's why you're creating this false zero-sum situation where if evolution is false, then Intelligent Design is automatically true.

The creation 'horse' is a crippled, plague-ridden mule that can't even stand, in any case.

Appears to be the Dunning-Kruger effect in action. It's also amusing that you count Ekstasis as being worthy of teaching people real science, considering his continual inability to grasp the most basic scientific concepts.

note the bold ... a brilliant mind is an unbiased one, one that can see facts and challenge popular belief. People bad mouth Dawkins because he is at war with religion, perhaps its engulfed him a bit from the celebrity status

however there are very few scientists today that are willing to challenge popular belief openly .... it requires a lot of courage to do what he does

Especially with people like Swa out there ..... who claim to have all the answers, from engineering to biology to medicine. Though keep in mind of his so called logic this is a man that cries conspiracy on the medical industry and says they are hiding vitamin D and you must not buy expensive medications and buy vitamin D supplements, where the medical industry will simply say "its free to stand in the sun" :p (note swa THIS IS SLANDER not what you mentioned above, what you thought as slander is you losing your debate so badly but being to dof to recognize that )

Dawkins is a massive inspiration to many people oppressed by religious regimes especially those who risk their lives speaking out against such things. I don't think many westerners realise what good work he is doing in places like these.

Hey when someone is a troll calling them a troll is not derogatory or insulting it is just fact. When someone wilfully remains ignorant and wilfully engages in dishonesty in order to further his/her particular creationist agenda then he/she is a creotard. That is simply what he/she is.
 
The label of creotard is earned 'round these parts, Techne. I certainly don't regard it as a default position, but some have gone above and beyond in embracing everything wearing the label implies.

Concern yourself with them.

It can be sure, unless it is a true reflection of how that person behaves in which case it is simply fact. Calling someone a troll is not always an insult, sometimes they are actually trolls.

I suppose all that is left to do is to kindly ask you not to be insulting and derogatory as there are better ways to interact with people you disagree with.
 
Okay, I think we argued enough on the semantics of creotard. I really don't think it is worth continuing. :)
 
Mod_note: if the term creotards et al is being used in an insulting manner, and I cannot personally see any other possible intention for that term being used, the mods may well have little alternative but to deal with it accordingly in the future.

IOW - knock it off. Play the ball, etc :)
