Relationship Complications

Op is pu$$y whipped. This will just be another case of we don't understand the situation and the advice is wrong.

Let's see. You hook up with a chick you've known for a while, fall in love quickly, move in together quickly, get engaged quickly and she falls pregnant. Now she's pressuring you into marrying her by threatening to abort your kid. She needed a sucker to look after her and her kid financially. You're it.

Well said!

Why is it that some men think that a man who chooses to look after and raise another man's child is a 'sucker' or held 'by the short and curly's'. I don't get it. Such men should be applauded, not treated like they are victims and looked down upon. It is known that children who grow up without fathers are more prone to delinquency. If we ever want to create a better society men need to be helping in the looking after, taking care of and protecting of the children around them, if they are able.

I think people are referring to the pregnancy and not the child she already has. I personally could not date a woman with a child, but I respect a man who could.

No, they are referring to the child she already has:

Nick333 specifically said "She needed a sucker to look after her and her kid financially. You're it."

And many posters commented +1 on his post.

Chilligirl said
"She has you by the short and curlies
She needed a baby poppa

Tag, she made you it."

Both men and women are deceitful. I had an ex going around for years pronouncing the kid she had was mine and the rumors spread, my parents even found out about this lie. What I have found, after school fees is that the hotter they are the more they manipulate, not all, but majority. If she is a 7 to 10, run! When you just might have thought you hit the lottery, the lottery strikes back and destroys you, again, not all situations :)

May i just step in and say, found myself in a similar situation.Love struck and all that...What you have to do OP is sit down and really think about all possible outcomes for the decisions you now have to make.
At the end of the day,you have to live with those decisions.

My advice? GTFO AND RUUUUUUUN

If she is threatening to abort the child, even though you're ENGAGED TO BE MARRIED, then she has more issues than Huisgenoot dude

Probably a very good reason her mom kicked her out the house, 28 and a 2 year old kid living at mom's?

Has she ever been single for an extended period of time where she had to take care of herself and her kid? Or did she always live with a guy/mom that takes care of her?

If she threatens it again, simply say:

"Threaten to abort this child again, and I'm kicking you out of my house"

Call her on her bull****

Why are you assuming I think he's a sucker because he's taking on someone else's kid? I think he's a sucker because this women is only after someone to take care of her kid. In other words she has no real attraction towards him other than for his ability to take care of her and her kid.

Frankly, though, I don't think anyone should get involved with someone who can't take care of themselves. Neither of you can ever be sure that your ability to provide for them wasn't the the real attractor.
