Jokes aside, I totally agree with what you are saying, there is a tendency on this forum for that kind of...intolerance to a certain extent. I think to a large extent that we as guys tend to shy away from anything emotional, and for South African in general the society is very much geared to fulfill certain gender stereotypes.

I find the women here to be a lot tougher and cut throat than other places because they have to be to survive, and violence against women (all races) seems to be prevalent.

People generally don't like change , and that there is continuing change towards equality is seen as a threat by many men, which is shown by the confrontational attitude you find on mybb. So just ignore the idiots, they are just scared or don't like women to have opinions of their own

Okay, firstly: Nobody attacked women who allow themselves to be abused. Unless you consider us saying they're not completely blameless in the process an attack. The worst we said is that they're likely psychologically unstable, which is true. Psychologically stable people don't allow themselves to be abused continuously.

Secondly: You did demonstrate an inability to tolerate other opinions. When we disagreed with your opinion on the situation in the OP, you told us "men will always defend men" and painted us out to be misogynists.

Thirdly: Nobody called bokdrol a misandrist. I told her to go away after she called us misogynists and defended your misandry. You'll notice that we even had a fairly standard discussion with her this morning, after she dropped the gender angle. Something which we couldn't do with you, because right from the start you wanted to make this whole thing a "men vs women" issue.

Fourthly: Foxhound was asked why he hates being male because he decided to make a misogyny issue out of something that didn't have to be one. Go have a look at his posting history. He literally accused us of saying that because he doesn't say "Women are just there to shag, hur hur hur" we think he's a female. Nowhere did anyone in this thread say "Women are just there to shag, hur hur hur", unless you count Ninja'd jokingly asking for boob pics. Right from the start he came into this thread, painting us as the kind of men who sit on the couch in our wifebeaters, beer in the hand while wifey slaves away barefoot in the kitchen. I don't have time or patience for people like that. Sorry. I won't be made to feel ashamed for being male.

No, actually. They attacked me, then when I started asking questions they didn't have answers for they quoted my tweets out of context in order to mock me in front of their followers and then blocked me to shut off any avenues of discussion.

More or less standard SJW behavior on twitter. Just ban everyone whose opinions you don't like and then keep tweeting in their echo-chamber. The irony is I actually share their opinions. I just called them out on their ill treatment of someone who didn't share their opinions.

Just to clarify, my response was not to your post quoted but to the way the ladies in here clump all men together and now we're wife beaters and who knows what else...
