Cant speak for the 'play from start' but 1080p is not possible as the dstv streams is max 720p, dstv's own app is 'upto 1080p' but is also just 720p

here is fine.

As above - unless someone can prove 1080p is actually available - i wont spend time on that.

Play from start - this is a feature on just live channels?
it starts the playback from the start of the current program?

Oooh so if you click on a program in the EPG that happened in the last 24 hours, you can ask to play from start of that program? That could be nice. Wonder if Kodi supports that from epg.

Yeah.. Especially handy for live sports that I might miss the start of.

i dont have any access to a ZA VPN currently - but when playing a live channel - do you get the 24H rewind window in Kodi already? Just hold back?
 
Hi guys, quick question. My shield is no longer google certified, as a result DSTV Now can't be installed from the play store.

Is this a possible workaround to get DSTV back and how up to date is this repo?

I can only think because i installed a hotfix from nvidia. I am now running an official release but for some reason its still not supported even after factory reset. I have a call open with nVidia atm.

DSTV Stream App not available on Nvidia shield anymore?

Hi guys Struggled to log into the dstv streaming app over the weekend, so i uninstalled the app but now i can't find the app on the google store anymore. There is a note that says the app is not available for this device. Anyone have the same or can anyone check if the app is still available...

As I understand it, he says after the 9.2.2 uograde, his Shield is no longer Google Certified. Which I fail to understand. Mine is on the latest upgrade, but I have no current use for the DSTV app.

But yes, you are right - does not mention if any silly buggers and funny games where carried out with regard to the device, like modding, buggering around with root, etc.
So as it has happened in the past, when "funny " things are reported, I don't discount such behaviour, but need to check it out never the less.

Even if my expectation that DSTV Stream is still installable on my device. Which has not been "fiddled " with.

And will report back whether my expectations where met or not.

Possibly he has the expectation that updating, to current spec, would "fix" whatever was wrong with his device previously, which would seem not, as he is back with the same issue.

I have not done any funnies other the apk for Disney (US version) and DNS proxy. But like it said, everything has been reverted to stock but i can't get my certification back. which makes no sense at all.

Well, as I said before, I do not understand why your Shield is not Google Certified, and mine was the last time I checked. Which is awhile ago, as the only app that I would use, that requires Google Certification is DSTV Stream, which I have not had an account for some time.

So will check, but my expectation is that my Shield is still Google Certified.

You tried clearing play store cache and data then?

Seems to have fixed numerous issues like yours, but possibly not all.

Yes, i see other people had the same issue and doing above fixed it, but for some reason mine won't work. This is stumping NVidia support as well.
