[RELEASE] DStv Now KODI Add-on

I certainly am seeing the same since this morning (it worked a charm last night), some logs below which seems to point to a license issue;

I tried reinstalling, back to 0.9.4 and back to 0.9.7 with no luck.

Any thoughts perhaps or something else we can try?

Yes that's exactly what happens. Any idea what I can do to resolve the issue with widevine?
 
I'm having the same issue with the stream not starting. I have tried Enerdude's suggestion but that's not helping. The inputstream adaptive dash with widevine stream plays fine.

Did you logout and remove all settings and re-login?
 
Strange thing is when I boot my S912 TV box from coreelec into android mode and install the app on a fresh copy of Kodi 18.3 it's working without issue.

I also noted that the add-on is working on my kodi on my android tablet, just not on my libreelec build. I wonder if this is not a coreelec/libreelec issue
 
Yes could be coreelec Linux specific, but strange it worked perfectly up untill this morning.

Unfortunately no luck from my end. I tried a few times with different combinations to no avail.

I'm running Kodi8.3 on Ubuntu 18.04 so not sure if it's related to *elec distro's

If not this is how I fixed it (there might be another shorter way but this worked for me on android):

1) Uninstall dstv now and say yes when asked to remove the settings
2) Install older version (I installed version 0.9.1)
3) Open dstv now --> settings --> playback --> Install Widewine DRM
4) Install the latest version 0.9.7 and try again....

Hi, i am new to this forum and need some help with dstv. I have tried all the above and it is still not working! It works on my android tablet but not on windows 7 or 10 and also not on my Pi3 running kodi on libreelec OS thanx!

I assume you mean to avoid buffering? Not really - if your internet speed is too slow there's not much you can do. You can set the stream quality in the addon settings though.

Yes and no, I'm on a 1Gbps fiber connection but in NZ, some channels are running fine without buffering or issues but some channels keeps buffering all the time. So what I was wondering is there a way in KODI/Add-ON to manually set a 3-5 min buffer to build up. (I have tried the one with "advancedsettings.xml" but it does not seem to apply when streaming in the add-on.
BTW everything was running fine a couple of months ago but either they moved some of the channels to different servers or the link to SA got worse. and this does not go through a vpn just setting the IP in the settings.

Yeah the issue seems to be cause you in NZ. My sister is in australia and has the same issues. I think it is a routing issue and dstv does not optimize routing overseas as you not supposed to watch it there. Never tried a vpn in aus yet though, was going to suggest it to my sister.

Yeah my windows setup also stopped working now. Still works for some reason on my android box. Matt is not really active on MYBB anymore so I suggest you guys post on his reddit
 
Yes getting the same error as @enerdude on two RPI's, with Kodi 18.3 installed.

There has obviously been a change with widevine portion from Dstv.
