I wonder how many ‘subscribers’ are actually using the add on , for Multichoice to now be taking a keen interest in squashing it?

I would believe is in the thousands as many TV boxes are sold with the add-on already logged in to an account, with the selling point of them having free DStv access.

However I believe that the changes that MultiChoice are making are not particularly aimed at the add-on, as there are much more direct ways in blocking it's use.

They do. I have heard many stories of people buying them who do not have a DSTV subscription. They are then upset when it stops working because it logs out and they don't have login details.

a friend of mine bought one from a "My Friend" Store and that one when the login expires it generates the DSTV code and sends a screenshot to somewhere........probably a script but after a few minutes it's working again
