[RELEASE] DStv Now KODI Add-on

At a time the add-on could bypass the 1 stream restriction.

That passed.

So a second stream allocation doesn't change anything really, just one more legit stream on Kodi.

Still don't see the use for the add-on.

Android TV works and looks just fine.
i can use it on my linux pc

i dont have any access to a ZA VPN currently - but when playing a live channel - do you get the 24H rewind window in Kodi already? Just hold back?
Sorry.. didn't see this till now. I only get about 5 mins of rewind

Anyone else see this error?

Was working, then all of a sudden this.

Yes got it on one of my android boxes. Funny thing is I get the 'playback failed, check log' from the main iptv simple client interface where you browse the channels but if I reboot the box into kodi, press 'e' for the EPG and start a channel from there it works 99% of the time.

Is it working on the website? Usually means your ip is blocked. Listed as a vpn or proxy
Website also fail, same url.

Then it must be both my ipv4 and ipv6 ips. Because it happens she I have ipv6 enabled and disabled.

Not using proxies and I am in Cape Town so shouldn't need a proxy.

Strange

Rocketnet

Disney+ site loads, but not subbing to see if everything load.

Ah well, was just watching the bulls playing bad rugby. Nothing lost. I don't watch anything else on dstv.
Thanks for the questions.

Yeah looks like geocomply went on a subnet banning episode again. They do that every 2 months.

Ban a bunch of consumer ips and list them as proxies or vpn ips and then dstv access is blocked. You get 403 forbidden errors.

For what its worth I setup my android box's kodi from scratch since I use Kodi only for dstv and now it works fine again. Could be a coincidence I guess.

How would a user recover from this?

How would a user recover from this?

ISP needs to log a ticket with geocomply to whitelist.

So this happens because pirate iptv companies or whatever you want to call them pay consumers to host software they use to pull the streams from.

Interestingly a bunch of iptv service's dstv channels stopped working around the same time people started complaining about 403 forbidden errors.

Anyone seen this error before?

Edit: I'm running kodi 21.2, SG rep 0.0.9, SG Common 0.86.29, SG Dependancies 0.0 29 and SG Main addon 0.18.4

What the hell is going on with DSTV's tvguide lately? It's been lke this for probably 2 weeks.

Both https://supersport.com/tv-guide and https://www.dstv.com/en-za/explore/tv-guide/ are missing sports channels; and this not pulling into kodi.
Would I also like to know...
Kodi parses DStv.com TV guide so that is why it is also incomplete

It's a wide problem, hasn't been working properly with online guide and some older decoders either for weeks now.

Beyond belief useless
