Well its really crap, not using my BB now.... Seen today BLACKBERRY PROTECT, okay read about it and was cool...i then started downloading it and then it was close to finishing....just looked away was busy with something else...checked again how its doing...and then saw on screen "RELOAD SOFTWARE : 552" what does that mean???
BB is not even being detected on DM.... seriously need assistance....should i just take the device back and see what my service provider can do...?

That means your Operating system is corrupt/failed on you (RROD - BLUE SCREEN DEATH) - reload the operating system(Download it from www.blackberry.net) -this normally happens when you download an application that is either corrupt or not programmed correctly for example like Clear Memory applications, BOOS memory etc are normally to blame in my opinion. Ever since I upgraded to BlackBerry OS6, I watch what I download and read reviews first, just don't download apps that are suspecious or else you will get ERROR 552(java missing) :(

If you have internet you can sort it out yourself unless you want VODACARE to re-install the operating systems at first it took me time but 1 day I actually had bad karma and had 552 4 times in 1 day - and that is the same day they broke into my house -will never forget that day ever the signs were there already.

eish thank you for the reply, yes i have internet access.....the application i downloaded was RIM's own application, BLACKBERRY PROTECT, i think i should just away from RIM's own software applications then.....
can u give me details on how to do that, because it is not being detected on desktop manager....
u see i am not sure aswell if i should return it to MTN, heard u wait long and device just ends up coming back worst, or either new device not working order.....

I'd say download bbsak(blackberry swiss army knife) and do a wipe. Then download software again.

Had the same problem unfortunately the only solution was to take the my Blackberry Curve 8520 to MTN. They took 2 WEEKS to repair it!! :(

Eish... that is why i decided to do it myself....didn't wanted to wait for mine that long lol!!!....1day was without it was terrible, heehee....
