Hi Guys

I'm sure I'm not the unique one - I use a Mac at home and a Windows PC at work.

On some occasions, I have the need to connect from home to my PC, eg weekends.

Those who do that, what method of connection do you use to control your work PC?

Let me give more info:
Home: Mac - Snow Leopard - ADSL Uncapped
Work: Windows Vista Business PC behind a domain server
Work Domain on a dyndns setting.

Most effective way that I use is to reboot via bootcamp and boot into Windows Vista on my Mac, and launch IE, etc etc etc.

Not so effective way is to launch VirtualBox on Mac and work in a tiny window. This kinda screws my work PC's screen resolution, and all my beautifully laid out icons get thrown left right and centre! And I have to spend time re-adjusting them when I get back to work on Monday.

PCs have their "logmein", "hamachis" & "VNCs". I have tried but to no avail. Perhaps I'm not doing it right?

What do you recommend that I use/do?

Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Thank you.

JollyVNC worked better for me than MS Remote Desktop, although it does work ok...

I have tried Microsoft's RDC. When I put in my domain's dyndns address, I only see my Domain Server's login screen, can't "pass-through" to my workstation.

I've been using Teamviewer between my Mac and PC for about 2 years now - it's really awesome (and free). Check out www.teamviewer.com :)
+1, superb piece of software, easy to use, practically 0 configuring required, light on resources and doesn't mess with the native resolution of the host machine...

That's because your work pc's IP is not published by the firewall as a RDP client, or it is published but you are not specifying the port that it has been setup, looks like a server is using the default port, so let the IT guy setup another port that your pc can use... (setup firewall to listen for incoming rdp connections on port ****,choose an open port, and forward the requests to your pc's internal ip on port 3389) connect to dyndns address: yourname@dyndns:****

Or just use Teamviewer...
