Renaul Duster Experience o far

Pity it's such an eye sore. That front ends looks like something from 2003
The current Duster's exterior is what appeals to me. The interior not so much.

Similar to the Jimny, if only they would modernise the engine and interior :(

Updated Renault Duster hits SA ... prices unchanged

An updated version of the Renault Duster has arrived in South Africa boasting a few choice equipment and slight styling upgrades. One thing it thankfully doesn’t gain, however, is a price bump.

Yes, with more than 10 000 units sold locally since the launch in late 2013, the latest version of this rugged little SUV is being offered at the same price as the outgoing model.

The four-derivative local range remains unchanged, but all models now feature new headlamps and tail-lights, a drive-away locking system, an updated centre console and new fabric on the seats and door panels. Additional colour choices have also been added to the palette.

Fresh black alloy wheels are furthermore on offer, while Dynamique models now feature a rear camera as standard. Expression variants, meanwhile, gain electric rear windows as standard.

The two powerplants – a 77 kW 1,6-litre petrol engine and an 80 kW 1,5 turbodiesel mill – carry over unchanged. As does the pricing, which you can view below.

Pricing:
Renault Duster 1,6 Expression 4×2: R239 900
Renault Duster 1,6 Dynamique 4×2: R259 900
Renault Duster 1,5 dCi Dynamique 4×2: R279 900
Renault Duster 1,5 dCi Dynamique 4×4: R304 900

Renault has updated its Duster SUV offering with a number of visual and practical enhancements. Let’s take a look at what’s changed…

The Duster SUV has proven to be hugely popular for Renault in South Africa and since its launch in 2013, more than 10 000 Duster’s have been sold and it’s currently one of the best-selling compact SUVs, alongside the popular Ford EcoSport.

In an effort to offer more value for customers, Renault has now enhanced the Duster lineup with a number of additional features, without an increase in price. The changes are as follows.

Exterior:

New headlights and taillight design
New black alloy wheels
Rear camera fitted as standard on Dynamique models
More exterior colours to choose from
Interior:

7-inch MediaNav touchscreen is standard on Dynamique models
Cruise control is standard across the Duster range
Expression derivative now standard with electric rear windows
Drive away lock is standard on all Duster models
Redesigned fabric for inner seat segments and door panels
Leather upholstery is optional on all three Dynamique models
Engine offering

Buyers still have the choice between a 77 kW/148 Nm naturally aspirated 1.6-litre petrol engine offered as a 4x2 in Expression and Dynamique trim. Fuel consumption for this motor is claimed to be 7.6 L/100 km.

For those seeking diesel power, an 80 kW/240 Nm 1.5-litre turbodiesel engine is available in Dynamique trim only and can be had in either 4x2 or 4x4 guise. Renault claims a fuel consumption figure of 4.8 L/100 km for the diesel-powered Duster 4x2 and 5.2 L/100km for the Duster 4x4. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard on all Duster derivatives.

Does someone know if the pre-2015 facelift models have cruise control as standard?

Tussen k*k en pampoen :crylaugh:

I like the Duster, or shall I say the Ruster down here at the coast. They look like no-nonsense little SUV's with minimal frills

Q: Why was the clutch totally depressed?
A: It was tired of being stepped on all the time.

*rolls the drums*

I prefer the Nissan Cash what what.

I am sure the likes of Nissan, Suzuki & Mazda give customers discounts. They need to keep those showroom doors open or end up like Citroen & Daihatsu.

Next Dacia Duster breaks cover ahead of 2018 launch

Next-generation SUV is larger than current model; it’s expected to arrive in just over a year's time

Dacia is testing its next-generation Duster on public roads ahead of the car’s market launch in 2018.

The new SUV model will be larger and more spacious than the car it replaces, while its exterior gets an evolved design.

In order to retain its moniker as one of the cheapest cars on sale, the base model Duster will have plastic bumpers and wheel arch surrounds. Higher-spec models will be available with painted trim.

Autocar’s sources have dismissed rumours that the new car will be available with a seven-seat option.

Like the current car, the next Duster will share parts with other cars from Dacia's parent company Renault-Nissan. It will likely be based on a developed version of the current car’s structure, and retain a range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines.

The next Duster looks on course to arrive in summer 2018, with entry-level prices remaining below the £10,000 mark. The current Duster costs from £9495.
