Renault Clio Immobilizer Problem

I have a renault clio 2005 2.5 16V. The immobilizer light is flashing, car won't start or crank. I had the key tested and that came out fine. From what I've read the problem/s could be:
- key
- decoder ring around ignition barrel
- uch
- broken/Loose wiring

The key isn't communicating with the car.

Car just suddenly stopped working. I went to shop with it and when I came out it didn't start.

Anyone who can run a diagnostic test and locate the fault in Cape Town? Looking for a reliable and decently priced renault auto electrician.

Its a new battery. Everything electrical is working expect the car starting

I used to have a 2005 1.4 8V Clio and had the exact same problem. Randburg locksmiths ( 011 782 9996 ) sorted it out for me by adding some kind of microchip into the key/car. Never gave me an issue after that. Was about R1000 if I recall correctly? Maybe give them a call and see if they can point you in the right direction in Cape Town.
