Apparently not all the Post Offices do this?

Anyhow - what do I need if I lost the renewal paper? VIN and mileage?
 
You need to take the old disk, no need for VIN or mileage.
 
I cant remember for sure, but you might need to fill out some form too. Take your ID book with as well.
 
I did mine at the Lonehill postoffice, but phone first to see if their Natis link is online
 
What scares me more than that, is that insurance won't pay out if anything happens.

I expired 31 October 2012 ... so I'm pushing it
 
One other thing to note - I found this out the hard way - don't try to renew a licence issued in Ekurhuleni at a Post Office in Joburg or vice-versa - the Post Offices are only linked to the licencing dept in the same area, even though their advertising says you can go to "any" Post Office.

Oi you are cutting it fine, get it done asap. You are going to end up with a pretty hefty fine as well
