I had heard screaming before but I had assumed it was tantrums, hidings, children playing, nothing that would cause me to be concerned or clear cries for help. Perhaps this morning was even a one time thing, but I will be sure to see if someone could go past and just check it out anyway

... so you heard but didn't see anything. That's maybe distress maybe abuse, I'd be more sure before sticking my nose in tbh.

In the very first post, I stated that I witnessed what I perceived as assault("I saw").

I understand people want a thread to circle jerk corporal punishment but I asked one simple thing - how do I do this anonymously and who do I send it to - that is it.

I am very grateful for the advice I have received, it isn't for me and I would much rather not gotten involved but will do what I can to make sure the kids are checked on. I tried googling before I started the thread too but wasn't successful in getting the answers I wanted.

I also have thought about it all day and it has ruined my mood as it benefits me in no way getting involved, but I will get it out of the way as quick as possible.

Why can you not just fuking say what the 'abuse' was ffs?? People want to help and best advise you but you seem hellbent on just being a drama queen, again.

If you saw anything else besides a smack / couple of smacks on the bum such as shoving, pulling, hitting then report it.

Also, why did you not stop it when you witnessed such behaviour?

Because I have family and a job I have to get to in the mornings and had no desire to go onto someone's private property to issue threats to someone.

Go **** yourself, I didn't come here looking for drama, if you want to whine about corporal punishment start your own thread

So is looting, cadre deployment, tenderpreneurship, ........ See what state our country is in.

Children are allowed to get ways with anything short of murder now days. We catch children burning plantations down, stealing equipment, hunting, theft of crops, stock theft, damaging property...... You call the cops and the first thing they ask is :"How old are you?". Even if the kid looks 25, they answer 15 or under. The cops can't do anything. They just let them go.

Like the guy said, stop looking for drama. Be explicit and tell us what you saw.

No. Knowing the full story will let the people here give a better piece of advise. Which you came here asking for.

****. People on the interwebs. Why bother asking for advise but not paint a complete picture?

Jissus fok tog. Punching a child would require someone to immediately stop the assault and call SAPS, keep the child safe until another care giver arrives or SAPS.

Screaming at a child the entire day would need a visit from a social worker and not SAPS.

Would it be wise to suggest to the OP to report the person to SAPS if the kid pissed on the carper and were screamed at for the remainder of the day?

What if the child were discussing the tax evasion of his parents with the neighbours child and it was beaten? Then we need to suggest SAPS and SARS are called, and not a social worker.

Nobody here asked for details such as the kid was punched until he could no longer move and then pissed on etc etc but certain details are required to make an informed decision.
