Reputation system: Yes or no?

The current system, no it's useless. I'll never use it.

If it was adjusted so that the post you rep actually shows you repped it, aha now we're onto something. Instead of saying "That^^^" or "+1" or any of the other of the many "funny" ways members have come up with you click the button and a little tick or star or whatever shows on the post basically saying "yeah this post, is funny/good advice/on point etc etc"

Then linking back to the members profile is fine, but only having a system where basically the member is repped(it's really not immediately clear why they got the rep) instead of the posts doesn't add much value.
